The Persian miniatures reproduced in this book illustrate one of the Persian versions of the collection of fables known since the High Middle Ages throughout the Middle East as Kalila and Dimna, in the manuscript version of the Imperial Library of Tehran, produced around the 15th century.
These animal fables have been translated and adapted into a modern version, accompanied by sumptuous miniatures, small living tableaux of harmony. Let yourself be carried away by the details where the kingdoms merge to read the texts like so many poems.
Straight back, half-cornered cloth. A beautiful bronze canvas is associated with the paper on the cover: a paper with golden patterns. Bloody.... Matching guards.
